Just A Few Of My Thoughts …

“What pleasure fills those who live every day in your temple, enjoying you as they worship in your presence! How enriched are they who find their strength in the Lord; within their hearts are the highways of holiness! Even when their paths wind through the dark valley of tears, they dig deep to find a pleasant pool where others find only pain. He gives to them a brook of blessing filled from the rain of an outpouring. They grow stronger and stronger with every step forward, and the God of all gods will appear before them in Zion. For the Lord God is brighter than the brilliance of a sunrise! Wrapping himself around me like a shield, he is so generous with his gifts of grace and glory. Those who walk along his paths with integrity will never lack one thing they need, for he provides it all!” Psalm 84:4-7, 11 TPT

Can you imagine, that if in the midst of our struggling times, we could be filled with an outpouring of God’s blessings as a brook flows from pool to pool. eventually emptying into the river? We just need to remember that it is always in and through Him that we find our strength. As we gather within His house of worship, we can feel His presence permeating our very being, enabling us through his grace to feel his peace.

In this passage the Psalmist is expressing the necessity of being in God’s presence, longing to be with him, through prayers, sermons, music, and fellowship. Unfortunately, in this life, we are not promised that all will be well and good, instead we are promised that, no matter what attempts to steal our joy, our God stands ready to carry us through each and every moment, meeting all our needs, for he provides it all. simply for the asking.

Heavenly Father, help us to remember that no matter the circumstance, our strength, and our ability to live and grow, remains in and through you, and be ever so thankful.
