FOCUSING ON LOVE!

With Valentine’s Day approaching many of us focus on those we love and what can we do for them. Roses, chocolates and jewelry are always nice material things, but with time the roses wilt, the chocolates are eaten and the jewelry for some, like me, will be put in the jewelry box and very rarely worn. Love is everlasting, it’s unconditional and we have the opportunity to show that love to those we encounter everyday. It may be going that extra mile for someone who needs help, encouragement or someone to just listen to them. Unfortunately there are those who are harder to love than others, possibly because they were never shown love or how to love, but if we love, like God loves us, as we are suppose to, we “CAN” find something to love about them too. Forgiving is another source of showing our love for someone that we have carried a grudge against, not always easy, but it releases a burden on us and will bring more joy and happiness to ourselves and those around us. Remember, love comes from God, and everyone who loves has been born of God! Have a blessed Valentine’s Day no matter how you celebrate it!!

1John4:12
No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and His love is made complete in us.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, continue to bless us with your unconditional love that will overflow from us onto those around us so that we may show more tolerance, kindness and caring. In your precious name.
Amen
