A MISSED MOMENT

This past week my husband I were eating breakfast at a Waffle House when a man and little boy came in and sat at the booth across the aisle from us. We assumed the boy was his son as he looked just like the man he was with! As we were sitting there eating I noticed my husband waving and smiling at someone, “other than me,” and when I turned and looked across the aisle it was that little boy who had the biggest grin on his face and was waving at us like he was in a parade! We did that back and forth for a while, but I also noticed that the man had his nose in his phone totally ignoring the little boy who you could well see needed some attention. As we were leaving I felt I should say something to the man acknowledging what a sweet child he had sitting beside him and know how much he must be enjoying him, but I didn’t, a missed moment! I’m still feeling guilty for not doing what God was urging me to do, and pray He will continue to urge me onward to where it is needed even if it means coming out of my comfort zone.

Philippians 3:13-14
Forget what lies behind and strain forward to what lies ahead, press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

Prayer:
Help us Father to listen and obey, even if it is out of comfort zone. You are urging us into situations for a reason, especially if it benefits others involved, we don’t want to miss the moment. Amen
