Having traveled through three states recently, I couldn’t help but notice all the broken signs along the way, signs that directed people where to go and what lay ahead. It can be frustrating to say the least especially when you need these directions to get you where you need to be. I understand we have other resources to find our way, but the point is why have the signs there if they are broken and can’t serve the purpose they were intended for! It’s the same in our spiritual life. When we are broken, we need to fix it so we can serve our purpose for whatever reason God needs us for. It’s never easy when we feel broken, but we know our healer, all we have to do is open ourselves to Him, be still and listen and He will guide us and our “signs” will never be broken.
Psalm 34:18
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
Prayer:
Father, we all feel broken at sometime or another, like a broken sign we need repairing and we know through your word, your touch and your guidance, we will be healed. Help to remind us of that when we are in those broken places. In your precious name we pray. Amen
