Noticing the farmlands that were once beautiful and productive, change from that, to land sold off to build new homes, apartments or whatever else a ”greedy” investor may decide to build to fill his pockets with! If I seem a bit bitter, it’s not that I don’t realize things don’t change, it’s just in remembering how peaceful and natural things looked. As an older person, I suppose I am more aware of how times are changing, and are more aware of what we’ve lost. I guess you could look at it as what is lost is someone else’s gain, but so it goes in our real world. The blessing is to know that in our spiritual world God doesn’t change and the words in the bible don’t change, and “THAT” we can rely on, always!
Romans 12:2
Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is-His good, pleasing and perfect will.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, help us to learn to embrace change even though, for some, it is not always easy to except, but may be a gift to others. May our strength come from knowing you will never change. In your precious name we pray. Amen
