Just A Few Of My Thoughts …

“Your marvelous words are living miracles; no wonder I long to obey everything you say. Break open your word within me until revelation-light shines out! Those with open hearts are given insight into your plans. I open my mouth and inhale the word of God because I crave the revelation of your commands. Turn your heart to me, Lord, and show me your grace like you do to every one of your godly lovers. Prepare before me a path filled with your promises, and don’t allow even one sin to have dominion over me. Rescue me from the oppression of ungodly men so that I can keep all your precepts. Smile on me, your loving servant. Instruct me on what is right in your eyes. When I witness the rebellious breaking your laws, it makes me weep uncontrollably!” Psalm 119:129-136 TPT

We are all in need of directions. We need something to follow, in whatever we are attempting to do. Cooks use recipes as they create meals. As we travel, we use road maps as a means of direction. No matter what we are in the midst of, we find ourselves following some type of direction. So, in life, for us to even attempt to get it right, we need the direction found in God’s Word. Here, no matter what we find ourselves attempting to wade through, we can find answers, with directions on how to moue forward.

In this passage the Psalmist is describing His Words as living miracles. His Word brings light and direction for our lives. As we begin this new year, we too need this light with a clear direction as our road map on a daily basis. We, so often, need to be rescued as we find ourselves in the middle of situations where our peace can be drained from our very being. As his loving servants, when circumstances attempt to tear us down, your peace as found in your Word, can be ours, all for the asking.

Heavenly Father, help us to remember the importance of allowing your Word to be our lighted road map for living, and be ever so thankful.

In Christ Love
Margaret
