Just A Few Of My Thoughts …

“Look at how much encouragement you’ve found in your relationship with the Anointed One! You are filled to overflowing with his comforting love. You have experienced a deepening friendship with the Holy Spirit and have felt his tender affection and mercy. So I’m asking you, my friends, that you be joined together in perfect unity-with one heart, one passion, and united in one love. Walk together with one harmonious purpose and you will fill my heart with unbounded joy. Be free from pride-filled opinions, for they will only harm your cherished unity. Don’t allow self-promotion to hide in your hearts, but in authentic humility put others first and view others as more important than yourselves. Abandon every display of selfishness. Possess a greater concern for what matters to others instead of your own interest. And consider the example that Jesus, the Anointed One, has set before us. Let his mindset become your motivation.” Philippians 2:1-5 TPT

How do we see ourselves as a Church body in the eyes of our Father? Our goal as a body of Christ should be to live and walk in a spirit of unity with genuine humility and compassion. With His compassion flowing in and through us will enable us to keep the unity necessary for us to grow in strength and love.

In this passage, the Apostle Paul is speaking to the church at Philippi, but also to the churches of today. He explains that we are to follow the examples shown us by our Savior, Christ himself. We are to work together in unity, with compassion, just as He has shown, and continues to bless us with. We are to have a spirit of humility. Christ was and continues to be the perfect example, by gluing of himself for us, as he went to the cross, providing us a means of living with Him, and assuring us that it can be ours for the asking.

Heavenly Father, help us to remember the importance of seeking all you have for us
to grow throughout the church body, and be ever so thankful.

In Christ Love
