Just A Few Of My Thoughts…

“Trust in the Lord completely, and do not rely on your own opinions. With all your heart rely on him to guide you, and he will lead you in the decision you make. Become intimate with him in whatever you do, and he will lead you wherever you go. Don’t think for a moment that you know it all, for wisdom comes when you adore him with undivided devotion and avoid everything that’s wrong. Then you will find the healing refreshment your body and spirit long for. Glorify God with all your wealth, honoring him with your very best, with every increase that comes to you. Then every dimension of your life will overflow with blessings from an uncontainable source of inner joy!” Proverbs 3:5-10 TPT

Recently, I purchased a new desk and a filing cabinet for my office, which to my surprise came in a very large flat box containing, what seemed like hundreds of pieces, several packages of screws, along with page after page of directions. I knew, not only did I need the directions, but someone with the ability to assist me in the assembly. Our lives tend to so many times, fall into pieces, whether caused by problems within relationships, sickness, death, or some type of unexpected change.

In this passage, King Solomon, in all his wisdom, is expressing the importance of following the directions of our Lord, as stated in His Word. As we lean on God, our Father, with undivided devotion, never losing site, that in his love for us, we will find the healing refreshment our spirit desires, only as we ask.

Heavenly Father, help us to remember the importance of using your Word as our direction, and our relationship with you as our passage into a freedom filled with your peace, all for the asking.
