Just A Few Of My Thoughts …

“For men’s hearts are just like the soil that drinks up the showers which often fall upon it. Some soil will yield crops as God’s blessing upon the field. But if the field continues to produce only thorns and thistles a curse hangs over it and it will be burned. For God, the Faithful One, is not unfair. How can he forget the beautiful work you have done for him? He remembers the love you demonstrate as you continually serve his beloved ones for the glory of his name. But we long to see you passionately advance until the end and you find your hope fulfilled. So don’t allow your hearts to grow dull or lose your enthusiasm but follow the example of those who fully received what God has promised because of their strong faith and patient endurance.” Hebrews 6:7-8, 10-12 TPT

It is so easy for us to become discouraged when life begins to toss difficulties our way. We begin to feel that all is unfair with everything and everyone against us, and that we have been forgotten, even by God. This is exactly the place Satan adores for us. Therefore, since our hearts can be compared to the soil that drinks up the showers as they fall, let us fill them up with the blessings found within
the pages of His Word.

In this passage we have the promise that God, the Faithful One, is always fair to those who surrender to him, allowing their hearts to be open for growth in and through his Word. As thorns and thistles attempt to grow, stealing our joy, our faith and our Father’s grace will continue to bring us peace. Remembering the importance of allowing our hearts to continue through hope in Him, should be all in our asking!

Heavenly Father, help us to remember to keep our hearts alive, filled with the blessings found in your Word, as we continue to grow, serving others, as we serve you, and be ever so thankful.

In Christ Love
