Just A Few Of My Thoughts …

“Out of my deep anguish and pain I prayed, and God, you helped me as a father. You came to my rescue and broke open the way into a beautiful and broad place. Now I know, Lord, that you are for me, and I will never fear what man can do to me. For you stand beside me as my hero who rescues me. I’ve seen with my own eyes the defeat of my enemies. I’ve triumphed over then all! Lord, it is so much better to trust in you to save me than to put my confidence in someone else. Lord, you are my true strength and my glory-song, my champion, my Savior!” Psalm 118:5-8, 15 TPT

Needless to say, most of us, at one time or the other, have been at this point, where anxiety begins to take over our lives. Either we don’t think before we speak, or we act before we take the time to realize the consequences. Even today, with technology at our fingertips, many times a posting to face book can create an enormous amount of hurt, while yet a positive, more promising quote, can just as easily tum everything around for the better.

In this passage, the Psalmist is praising God, for interceding for him as a father protecting his children, bringing resolution, opening the way to a beautiful and broad place, replacing fear with ultimate peace. Our need is to realize that in the midst of each turmoil, our Lord stands beside us, waiting to become our hero, our trust in him to take hold, relieving us of the anxiety originally created. Imagine the calm, as the Lord stands beside you, filling you with his strength, knowing it can be ours, all for the asking!

Heavenly Father, help us to remember, that no matter the circumstance, you remain ready to answer our call, seeking your strength, and to be covered with your peace.

In Christ Love
