You even formed every bone in my body when you created me in the secret place, carefully, skillfully shaping me from nothing to something. You saw who you created me to be before I became me! Before I’d ever seen the light of day, the number of days you planned for me were already recorded in your book. Every single moment you are thinking of me! How precious and wonderful to consider that you cherish me constantly in your every thought! 0 God, your desires toward me are more than the grains of sand on every shore! Every so often, we find ourselves in the midst of some sort of situation, leaving us feeling down and out, alone, and thinking that no one cares. While in this state of feeling sorry for ourselves, we can easily begin to feel unworthy of our Father’s blessings. How quickly we tend to forget that he knows every single aspect of our lives, the good, the bad, every moment of every day!
In this Psalm, King David is describing the knowing, loving, and caring our Father has for us. We tend to forget that we are created in his image, with his character instilled in each of us as he so skillfully shaped us from nothing into something. Even to think that in his love for us, we are constantly in his thoughts, with his desires for us being more than the grains of sand on every shore. We are to remember that His Spirit is ready and willing to work with us, to see us through, all for the asking!
Heavenly Father, help us to remember, no matter what confronts us, our resolutions can be found in and through you, as we seek you in love, for our peace.
