Just A Few Of My Thoughts…

“Ask, and the gift is yours. Seek, and you’ll discover. Knock, and the door will be opened for you. For every persistent one will get what he asks for. Every persistent seeker will discover what he longs for. And everyone who knocks persistently will one day find an open door. If you, imperfect as you are, know how to lovingly take care of your children and give them what’s best, how much more ready is your heavenly Father to give wonderful gifts to those who ask him? In everything you do, be careful to treat others in the same way you’d want them to treat you, for that is the essence of all the teachings of the Law and the Prophets.” Matthew 7:7-8, 11-12 TPT
From childhood, we have been taught to treat others like we would want them to treat us, no matter the time or place. Unfortunately, many times throughout life we find ourselves dealing with something or someone causing us to challenge ourselves in our teachings.
In this passage Jesus is speaking, very simply, providing us with a detailed description of all that is necessary for us to communicate with Him. In our prayers, we need to focus on Him, utilizing the directions found in His Word, continue to follow-through with patience, knowing that with faith he will see us through. He is assuring us that if we persistently Ask, the gift will be ours, Seek, and we will discover the way, and as we continue to Knock, the door will be opened.
Heavenly Father, help us to remember, that although you are aware of our every need, you continue to wait for us to Ask, to Seek, and to Knock. (ASK)
In Christ Love
