Just A Few Of My Thoughts …

“For love completes the laws of God. All of the law can be summarized in one grand statement: ‘Demonstrate love to your neighbor even as you care for and love yourself.’ As you yield freely and fully to the dynamic life and power of the Holy Spirit, you will abandon the cravings of your self-life. But the fruit produced by the Holy Spirit within you is divine love in all its varied expressions: joy that overflows, peace that subdues, patience that endures, kindness in action, a life full of virtue, faith that prevails, gentleness of heart, and strength of spirit. Never set the law above these qualities, for they are meant to be limitless. So may we never be arrogant, or look down on another, for each of us is an original. We must forsake all jealousy that diminishes the value of others.” Galatians 5:14,16,22-23,26 TPT

Within this imperfect world, love should be woven throughout every aspect of whatever circumstance we may find ourselves in, while we make sure it is placed where it can surely be felt at all times. It should be accompanied by patience and kindness, as joy, faith, and peace find their places to reside. Then, by faith, as we yield freely and fully to the power of the Holy Spirit, we find ourselves covered with such a peace, we are assured of His gentle Presence.

In this passage, the Apostle Paul is telling us how we can overcome the times that attempt to bring us down, by turning to the Words of our God, beginning with love. We are not expected to go through life without Him, or each other. God is interested in every aspect of our lives, leaving us with the power of the Holy Spirit so that we are never alone. Imagine the difference with these virtues in our lives, as we are empowered with the Holy Spirit, while being covered with the overflowing fountain of joy, peace, and love, knowing it is ours for the asking.

Heavenly Father, help us to remember, our values, and our standards, should be like yours and be ever so thankful.

In Christ Love
Margaret
