“God’s marvelous grace has manifested in person, bringing salvation for everyone. This same grace teaches us how to live each day as we turn our backs on ungodliness and indulgent lifestyles, and it equips us to live self-controlled, upright, godly lives in this present age. For we continue to look forward to the joyful fulfillment of our hope in the dawning splendor of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus, the Anointed One. Grace: God’s free and unmerited love and favor for sinful humanity. By His grace, we can stand boldly against the enemy, completely equipped with the full armor of God, the blood of Jesus, and the power of the Holy Spirit. Grace cannot be earned, instead it is freely given through Jesus, as he was sacrificed on the cross, an absolute free expression of love from our Heavenly Father.
In this passage we see how grace, freely given, through our Savior, Jesus Christ is sufficient to equip us to live in today’s world, filled with its’ ungodliness and indulgent lifestyles. It is through his grace that at first, we are saved, then through his grace we are able to do all He calls us to do each day. He is our source of everything good, overcoming our fears, providing healing, strength, joy, and the hope of living eternally with him, all for the asking.
Heavenly Father, help us to remember that through grace, we can have Jesus, and all that he has for us, and be ever so thankful.
