Just A Few Of My Thoughts …

“I am telling you this while I am still with you. But when the Father sends the Spirit of Holiness, the One like me who sets you free, he will teach you all things in my name. And he will inspire you to remember every word that I’ve told you. I leave the gift of peace with you-my peace. Not the kind of fragile peace given by the world, but my perfect peace. Don’t yield to fear or be troubled in your hearts-instead, be courageous! Remember what I’ve told you, that I must go away, but I promise to come back to you. So if you truly love me, you will be glad for me, since I’m returning to my Father, who is greater than I. So when all of these things happen, you will still trust and cling to me.” John 14:25-29 TPT

This time of year, we find ourselves in the midst of gifting. We are striving to find the perfect gift for each person on our list, while at the same time, attempting to balance finds and funds. Without thinking, we can easily find ourselves within the perfect circumstances for stress to kick in, leaving an open space for the enemy to grab a foothold, in an attempt to steal our peace. In this world, we find, uncertainty, fear, doubt, and the lack of courage, just to name a few of the forces ready to tear at our hearts, but thankfully, accepting Jesus can change it all.

In this passage Jesus is explaining to his disciples, the GIFT of PEACE through the Holy Spirit. With Jesus in our hearts, we have no need to fear the forces at work attempting to bring us down, either in the present or the future times. He will teach us all things in his name and inspire us to study his Word as we allow the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts, and with Him working in our lives, we can have a deep, lasting peace, no matter the circumstance, all for the asking!

Heavenly Father, help us to remember, you gave your Son, so that in and through Him, we can have our perfect peace, and be ever so thankful.

In Christ Love
