Just A Few Of My Thoughts …
(1) “Love never stops loving. It extends beyond the gift of prophecy, which eventually fades away. It is more enduring than tongues, which will one day fall silent. Love remains long after words of knowledge are forgotten. Our present knowledge and our prophecies are but partial, but when love’s perfection arrives, the partial will fade away.” 1 Corinthians 13:8-10 TPT

(2) “Praise be to the exalted Lord God of Israel, for he has seen us through eyes of grace, and he comes as our Hero-God to set us free! The splendor light of heaven’s glorious sunrise is about to break upon us in holy visitation, all because the merciful heart of our God is so very tender. The word from heaven will come to us with dazzling light to shine upon those who live in darkness near death’s dark shadow. And he will illuminate the path that leads to the way of peace.” Luke 1 :68, 78-79 TPT

With love, failure is not an option. The love of God, love in perfection, will overcome the imperfections that tend to rob us of our peace. During this advent season, worldly interferences can so often tear us away from the true celebration of the birth of our Savior, robbing us of our hope, joy, peace, and our love for each other, as well as the God we serve.

In the first passage, the Apostle Paul simply states that love does not end. With the birth of Jesus, love’s perfect perfection came into being, enabling us to move through, and go beyond life’s imperfections. The second passage is a portion of Zechariah’s Prophecy, announcing the arrival of our Savior, all because of the merciful heart, or the perfect love of our God for us. This baby, whose birth we celebrate each year at this time, becomes our Hero-God, providing us with his blessings, which can be ours, simply for the asking. Heavenly Father, help us to remember to let go of the distractions that can confront us this time of year, and remember the love you gave, and be ever so thankful.

In Christ Love
