Just A Few of My Thoughts …

“For when the time was right, the Anointed One came and died to demonstrate his love for sinners who were entirely helpless, weak, and powerless to save themselves. Now, who of us would dare to die for the sake of a wicked person? We can all understand if someone was willing to die for a truly noble person. But Christ proved God’s passionate love for us by dying in our place while we were still lost and ungodly! And there is still much more to say of his unfailing love for us! For through the blood of Jesus we have heard the powerful declaration, ‘You are now righteous in my sight.’ And because of the sacrifice of Jesus, you will never experience the wrath of God. So if while we were still enemies, God fully reconciled us to himself through the death of his Son, then something greater than friendship is ours.” Romans 5:6-9a TPT

God’s timing is always spot on, especially when we feel as if our circumstances are about to get the best of us. We are reminded that he loves us so much that he sent his one and only Son to the cross to save us from our sins, and so that we could spend eternity with him. How many of us can even fathom such love?

In this passage, the Apostle Paul is explaining that in God’s love for us, in his perfect timing, he sent his Son to the cross, for everyone, the helpless, the powerless, and the weak. It is then through our weaknesses that our hearts are strengthened with the outpouring of his love through the gift of the Holy Spirit, as it cascades over us like a
waterfall filling our hearts. Due to this passionate love, we can continue, on a daily basis, through faith, to seek his empowerment, and know it can be ours, all for the asking.

Heavenly Father, help us to continue to remember the blessings found within your passionate love, and be ever so thankful.

In Christ Love
