Just A Few Of My Thoughts …

“And this is no empty hope, for God himself is the one who has prepared us for this wonderful destiny. And to confirm this promise, he has given us the Holy Spirit, like an engagement ring. as a guarantee. That’s why we’re always full of courage. Even while we’re at home in the body, we’re homesick to be with the Master-for we live by faith, not by what we see with our eyes. We live with a joyful confidence, yet at the same time we take delight in the thought of leaving our bodies behind to be at home with the Lord. So whether we live or die we make it our life’s passion to live our lives pleasing to him. Now, if anyone is enfolded into Christ, he has become an entirely new person. All that is related to the old order has vanished. Behold, everything is fresh and new. And God has made all things new, and reconciled us to himself, and given us the ministry of reconciling others to God.” 2 Corinthians 5:5-9, 17-18 TPT

Upon our acceptance of Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we were blessed with the gift of the Holy Spirit, so that we are never alone. As our companion, he will direct our lives, especially, if we can learn to, and practice the art of ‘being still and knowing.’ We learn to live by faith, not by what we can see, and regardless of the circumstance we find ourselves in the midst of, he is the source of our strength and courage.

In this passage, the Apostle Paul was explaining, that new Christians are new people from the inside. Although this change is different for everyone, it begins with a new covenant, along with new perspectives, beginning with a new Master. Since God has made everything fresh and new, his desire for us, in our ministry, is to encourage others with the assistance of the Holy Spirit, knowing our source for love and encouragement can be ours, all for the asking.

Heavenly Father, help us to remember that in your love for us, you provided us with the gift of the Holy Spirit as our constant companion, and be ever so thankful.

In Christ Love
Margaret
