Just A Few Of My Thoughts…

“Lord, show me your kindness and mercy, for these men oppose and oppress me all day long. Not a day goes by but that somebody harasses me. So many in their pride trample me under their feet. But in the day that I’m afraid, I lay all my fears before you and trust in you with all my heart. What harm could a man bring to me? With God on my side I will not be afraid of what comes. The roaring praises of God fill my heart, and I will always triumph as I trust his promises. Day after day cruel critics distort my words; constantly they plot my collapse. You’ve kept track of all my wandering and my weeping. You’ve stored my tears in your bottle—not one will be lost. For they are all recorded in your book of remembrance. So I’m thanking you with all my heart, with gratitude for all you’ve done. I will do everything I’ve promised you, Lord. For you have saved my soul from death and my feet from stumbling so that I can walk before the Lord bathed in his life-giving light.” Psalm 56:1-5, 8, 12-13 TPT
Unfortunately, so many times, we can relate to feelings of harassment, distorted words, or even to becoming consumed with fear in the midst of a lingering circumstance, or of whatever the future might hold.
In reading this passage, when words or actions cause hurt or pain, with God on our side, our peace can be found as we listen and follow the leading of the Holy Spirit. Throughout life’s circumstances, simply realizing that our Lord has kept tract and recorded every tear, should assure us of His unwavering and unconditional love. In consideration for all he has done, and continues to do, our hearts should be filled with love and thankfulness.
Heavenly Father, help us to remember, you are mindful of every aspect, and all that occurs throughout our lives, always patiently waiting for our call.
In Christ Love
Margaret
