On Palm Sunday I visualize Jesus riding into Jerusalem on a donkey and how people greeted Him with praise and adoration. He wanted only to connect with them by being one with them and showing them a truth they did not understand. Many followed but in the end those that praised Him upon His entry to the city also jeered Him after His arrest . I know we can all be “two faced” at times to save our own selfish selves and that is a regret many of us have to overcome. Jesus knew only too well what was coming, but He continued to love those around Him and forgive, and that should be the prime example for us all. He gave so much, and this time of year, especially, is when we need to remember and re-focus on exactly the sacrifice He made for us to be forgiven. May the celebration of Palm Sunday and Easter bring you love, peace and grace!
Matthew 21:5 “Say to the daughter of Zion, ‘Behold, your king is coming to you, humble and mounted on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a beast of burden.'”
Prayer:
Father, help us always remember to remain humble, never “two-faced” in your eyes so that we may follow you to the truth and into glory. In your precious name. Amen
