What Is (Or Who Is) Your Rock?

Talking about a “rock” may sound like a strange subject until you really think about what it truly is. A rock is a hard, solid mass, a stable foundation, something that will firmly hold you up. It reminds me of the words from the hymn “My hope is built on nothing less, than Jesus Christ my righteousness. On Him the solid rock I stand all other ground is sinking sand.” How many times have we not felt as though we were in sinking sand, trying to fight our way out, which buried in sand is very difficult to climb out of. When we put our hope in Jesus and what He has done and is doing for us in our lives, the more we learn of the solid foundation He is. Anything is possible from there on, He “is” our righteousness!

1 Corinthians 3:11
For no one can lay a foundation other than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ,

Prayer:
Thank you, Lord, for being our strength and stable foundation. Help us to always be reminded of that when we feel we are in sinking sand, in your name we pray. Amen
