WHEN LIFE THROWS US EMOTIONAL “BLOWS!”

Just when we think everything in our lives are going so well, all of a sudden we are thrown an emotional blow. It could be an unexpected medical diagnosis, car accident or the dreaded phone call no one ever expects nor wants to receive. We’ve all been there at some point and time in our lives, so how do we cope with it. Everyone has their own coping mechanism. Some people withdraw from everything, others reach out for help, and many have the strength to handle it themselves. Withdrawing is definitely “not” a good idea as that will lead to isolation, depression and emotional darkness. We know God wants us to reach out to not only Him, but others that are strong in their faith and can provide the spiritual guidance we need. Even those that have the strength within themselves to handle their own issues should not close others out. There is strength in numbers! Life’s emotional “blows” can happen at anytime and though we think we are prepared to take on anything, we won’t know if we are until it happens, but as we grow stronger, and deeper in our faith, our journey can be made more tolerable and better equipped to handle life’s “blows!”

Isaiah 41:10
Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my victorious right hand.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, you know when we are carrying emotional pain in our hearts, we ask for your divine intervention and guidance during these times so we may find the peace we desire. In your precious name we pray. Amen
