“I pray that you will continually experience the immeasurable greatness of God’s power made available to you through faith. Then your lives will be an advertisement of this immense power as it works through you! This is the mighty power that was released when God raised Christ from the dead and exalted him to the place of highest honor and supreme authority in the heavenly realm. And now he is exalted as first above every ruler, authority, government, and realm of power in existence! He gloriously enthroned over every name that is ever praised not only in this age, but in the age that is coming! And he alone is the leader and source of everything needed in the church. God has put everything beneath the authority of Jesus Christ and has given him the highest rank above all others. And now we, his church, are his body on the earth and that which fills him who is being filled by it!” Ephesians 1:19- 23 TPT
While in the midst of circumstances that could easily break us apart, we tend to let our guard down, many times leaving a foothold for Satan to step in. These are the times when, through faith, God’s power could lighten the load or at least pave a path making straight some of the curves as he smooths out the bumps and boulders. There is nothing too difficult for our Lord, nor is there anything that would take him by surprise.
In this passage. the Apostle Paul is continuing in his prayer, for believers to know the great value God places on them. God’s greatest power is demonstrated through the resurrection and glorification of his Son, Jesus Christ. These words were penned for the entire church. not just an individual. Christ is the head, and we are the body. There is nothing that can separate us from God, and His unconditional love for us, as we know it is ours for the asking!
Heavenly Father, help us to remember the greatness of your power, made available to us through faith, and be ever so thankful.
