LIFE CAN BE A BALANCING ACT!

Everyday life can be challenging to say the least. Balancing family, chores, work, not to mention people we come up against some days that may not be on the same page we are on with certain issues, or who are just plain rude or disagreeable about everything can be exhausting and frustrating. In the spiritual world we are told not to live this way and we don’t want to so we strive everyday to do better about balancing things when they get out of “whack!” God has given us the tools to do just that but it is up to us to use those tools the way they were intended. It’s a matter of being brave enough to take a step back, take a deep breath, and lean more on the “One” who can help us to balance things out. I use the term “brave enough” because we sometimes feel a bit selfish and a bit weak taking time for ourselves because most of us put everything and everyone else first before we think of our own well being. We want to love more even when there are those people out there that aren’t very lovable and we want to do things that we know are more favorable to God. Sometimes it’s just finding the time to take pause, leaning on God to guide us trusting in His grace to strengthen our weaknesses to meet those everyday challenges to say “yes” I can do that or “no” I cannot and not have a guilty conscious about it later, and when we can do that we have found some balance in our life. Everyday we are faced with new challenges, but we can look at it as an obstacle to overcome and grow in our spiritual journey.

Proverbs 11:1
A false balance is an abomination to the Lord, but a just weight is His delight.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, life can become busy and overwhelming and we need to find some balance to find rest. Guide us, lead us, and remind us to start each day with You and help us to find that place for rest so we are ready to meet the challenges of each day. In Your precious name we pray. Amen
