Just A Few Of My Thoughts …
“For this is the hope of our salvation. But hope means that we must trust and wait for what is still unseen. For why would we need to hope for something we already have? So because our hope is set on what is yet to be seen, we patiently keep on waiting for its fulfillment. And in a similar way, the Holy Spirit takes hold of us in our human frailty to empower us in our weakness. For example, at times we don’t even know how to pray, or know the best things to ask for. But the Holy Spirit rises up within us to super-intercede on our behalf, pleading to God with emotional sighs too deep for words. God, the searcher of the heart, knows fully our longings, yet he also understands the desires of the Spirit, because the Holy Spirit passionately pleads before God for us, his holy ones, in perfect harmony with God’s plan and our destiny.” Romans 8:24-27 TPT
We want to be in control, even to know the outcome for our decisions, but that’s just not a part of life. Instead, that is where faith and hope enter in, with patience playing an important role. Although God knows all our wants and needs, he is the searcher of our hearts, so as we communicate with him, many times, not knowing the words to say, the Holy Spirit will intercede as we pray.
In this passage, we are told to place our confidence in God, trusting in him through faith, knowing that this is the hope of our salvation, both present and future. As believers, we are not left alone to cope with life’s problems, instead, we are blessed with the companionship of the Holy Spirit. In our weaknesses he empowers us, and in our prayers, he speaks for us, so that in and through him, we find perfect harmony, all for the asking!
Heavenly Father, help us to remember, that in your love for us, you understand and fulfill the desires of our Spirit, and be ever so thankful.
In Christ Love
