WHAT A WONDERFUL WORLD!

Regardless of what is overwhelming us in the world today, we still live in a wonderful world. One of my favorite songs, and “go to song” when I feel a bit down about what is going on around me, is a song by the late Louis Armstrong, a jazz trumpeter and vocalist, called “What a Wonderful World.” He sings about the “trees of green, red roses too, I see them bloom for me and you, I see skies of blue and clouds of white, the bright blessed days, the dark sacred nights, the color of the rainbow, so pretty in the sky, are also on the faces of people going by. I see friends shaking hands, saying “how do you do?” They’re really saying, “I love you.” I hear babies cry, I watch them grow, they’ll learn much more than I’ll ever know, and I think to myself What A Wonderful World, yes, I think to myself, What a Wonderful World!” I think God Himself would love and approve of this song because that is what He wants us to see, more of the beauty in the world than the ugly, and no matter what, appreciate all the liberties we are privileged with
everyday, use them to glorify God!

Colossians 1:16-17
For by Him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities-all things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, remind us everyday to be more aware and appreciate the beauty in the world that is rapidly changing and overwhelming many of us. Remind us continuously that you are the one constant in our lives, our never changing God. In your precious name we pray. Amen
