None of us are perfect, meaning that none of us are ever going to be one hundred percent on board understanding each other. Listening, recently, to a concern on the heart of someone, it was easy to understand where they were coming from, however, to some, there was less understanding and more importance as to their concerns. Not so much with words but with facial expressions which said a lot. We have all fallen into that because that is how we initially react, most of time not realizing what that says to others. Once we’ve grasped the whole concept of what we are hearing things usually change, maybe not to some but to others. We are quick to judge others which we are told not to do, and we all need to work harder on that. Our first response to others shouldn’t be that of our own concern or opinions but rather one of empathy and love.
Galatians 6:2
Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, help us to be more compassionate and understanding when we are listening to others. Give us the ability to see others through your eyes and show grace and forgiveness when and where needed. Help us to encourage and support those around us. In your precious name we pray. Amen
