Just A Few Of My Thoughts …

“Everything I am will praise and bless the Lord! 0 Lord, my God, your greatness takes my breath away, overwhelming me by your majesty, beauty, and splendor! You wrap yourself with a shimmering, glistening light. You wear sunshine like a garment of glory. You stretch out the starry skies like a tapestry. You build your balconies with light beams and ride as King in a chariot you made from clouds. You fly upon the wings of the wind. You make your messengers into winds of the Spirit and all your ministers become flames of fire. You, our Creator, formed the earth, and you hold it all together so it will never fall apart.” Psalm 104:1-5 TPT

According to the dictionary, the word praise means to: express approval or admiration of, or to glorify God, as in a song. In my study Bible under the word praise, it states that it is to worship, commend, or to give honor to. Do we praise God when we sing, or do we just sing? For all he has blessed us with, we should be praising and honoring him, not only as we sing, but as we go about our everyday living.

In this passage, the Psalmist is giving God his all, stating that with everything he has, he will praise and bless the Lord. He has created such a vast world for us to live in and enjoy. He describes it as overwhelming, as it takes his breath away, due to the vastness and the beauty of his creation. Our God created such a vast universe for us to live in and enjoy with such a compassion for us, that he deserves our praises, since his desire is to continue with his blessings, as we continue to ask.

Heavenly Father, help us to remember to look around us, count our blessings, then to sing praises to our God, and be ever so thankful.

In Christ Love
