“No matter what, make room in your heart to love every believer. And show hospitality to strangers, for they may be angels from God showing up as your guest. Identify with those who are in prison as though you were there suffering with them, and those who are mistreated as if you could feel their pain. Don’t be obsessed with money but live content with what you have, for you always have God’s presence. For hasn’t he promised you, ‘I will never leave you alone, never! And I will not loosen my grip on your life!’ So we can say with great confidence: ‘I know the Lord is for me and I will never be afraid of what people may do to me!’ Jesus, the Anointed One, is always the same-yesterday, today, and forever. So don’t let anyone lead you astray with all sorts of novel and exotic teachings. It is more beautiful to feast on grace and be inwardly strengthened than to be obsessed with dietary rules which in themselves have no lasting benefit.” Hebrews 13: 1-3,5-9 TPT
Jesus is love, therefore, our very being should begin and end with love at its core. No matter where we are, or what we are in the midst of, through faith, and the love of Jesus, as we seek him, life can and will become one filled with his presence. We just need to remember to feast on his grace for our inner strength as we grow.
In this passage we are asked to do a great deal when it comes to love, first we are to make room in our hearts to love every believer, and then to show hospitality to strangers. So where do we begin? At this point, it becomes an individual answer to the question, depending on each personal relationship with Jesus, knowing your promise is that it can be ours for the asking!
Heavenly Father, help us to remember the importance of love in our lives, since in your love for us, you gave your precious Son, for which we are ever so thankful.
In Christ Love
