“Let your heart be always guided by the peace of the Anointed One, who called you to peace as part of his one body. And always be thankful. Let the word of Christ live in you richly, flooding you with all wisdom. Apply the Scriptures as you teach and instruct one another with the Psalms, and with festive praises, and with prophetic songs given to you spontaneously by the Spirit, so sing to God with all your hearts! Let every activity of your lives and every word that comes from your lips be drenched with the beauty of our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One. And bring your constant praise to God the Father because of what Christ has done for you! Put your heart and soul into every activity you do, as though you are doing it for the Lord himself and not merely for others.” Colossians 3 ;15-17,23 TPT
In order for us to continue to live and grow in Christ, we need to have a heart filled with peace. We are to be assured, confident and secure in the love and care of God, knowing that no matter the circumstance, God will allow nothing to defeat us. We are to keep the Word of Christ dwelling within our hearts and through wisdom apply the Scriptures according to the circumstance. In this passage the Apostle Paul is reminding us that as believers, we are to know the Word of Christ, let the Word dwell within our hearts, and live according to its directions. The truth and wisdom of life is found in the Word of Christ, and we are to share with each other as we continue to bring praises to our God the Father. Christ has been and continues to be with us in all that we do, but his desire, is that no matter the circumstance, he is ours for the asking!
Heavenly Father, help us to remember the importance of knowing the Word of Christ, and keeping it in our hearts, and be ever so thankful.
