Anticipation is a word that can mean different things to many. It can mean something exciting coming such as the birth of a baby, a much needed vacation, the purchase of something new and so much more. It can also so mean something daunting such as an unwelcome health issue, issues at work and issues within the family unit. We never know for sure what the outcome will be in any of these situations. As Christian believers the only outcome we can anticipate with assurance are the provisions and good works God does in our lives. Believing in this makes all else immaterial. It’s not always easy but the deeper we become in God’s word the easier the outcome in our anticipation of Him will become.
Michah 7:7 But as for me, I will look to the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation; my God will hear me.
Prayer: Oh Lord, our God, we pray with anticipation for your provisions and good works in our lives. We know it may not be immediate, but they will come! Amen
