HOW TIME FLIES!

I recently received a flyer in the mail for my “64th” class reunion. After lifting my jaw up from the floor and putting it back into place, I realized that this was the true deal. First of all, after our 50th, I doubted very much that we would have another reunion, secondly, had that much time passed since our high school graduation? Once I absorbed all this and began to think of all the years that had passed, and all the events that happened during that period, not to mention my age, that many years has to be true! I know once I see some of my classmates, which I know will be fewer than our last reunion, and hopefully I can still recognize some, I will see a reflection of myself. These are times when we question ourselves about our lives. Have we accomplished the goals we had set for ourselves, are we happy and satisfied with our quality of life, what are some things we might have changed to do better? I know we aren’t suppose to live in the past, but learn from it and move on, and hopefully, many of us have done that and developed the wisdom that goes along with it. We know we are to make the most of our time and opportunities that God puts across our paths each day, and trusting in His timeline helps us stay grounded in the present instead of rushing headlong into another timeline! Not always easy for many because of jobs and family schedules, but when God is in your life there is a time He has created just for you to be in the present. Value that time as it is a gift from God!

Ephesians 5: 15-16
Be very careful, then, how you live-not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, help us always to make the most of our time and give thanks for it each day. May we learn to take time for those we interact with everyday and may Your grace and wisdom fill as we do so. In Your precious name we pray. Amen
