Just A Few Of My Thoughts …

“At each and every sunrise you will hear my voice as I prepare my sacrifice of prayer to you. Every morning I lay out the pieces of my life on the altar and wait for your fire to fall upon my heart. But I know that you will welcome me into your house, for I am covered by your covenant of mercy and love. So I come to your sanctuary with deepest awe to bow in worship and adore you. Yahweh, lead me in the pathways of your pleasure just like you promised me you would, or else my enemies will conquer me. Smooth out your road in front of me, straight and level so that I will know where to walk. Lord, how wonderfully you bless the righteous. Your favor wraps around each one and covers them under your canopy of kindness and joy.” Psalm 5:3,7-8,12 TPT

How do we begin each day? For our relationship with Jesus to grow, we need to remember to start each day with just a few moments devoted to Him. In the mornings, our minds are free and clear, before the problems of the day begin to show themselves. For any relationship to grow, there needs to be some type of communication. We need times that we can spend clearing our minds of the world’s stage, where we can, not only ask, but continue to thank him for all the ways he continues to bless us.

In this passage, the Psalmist is explaining the importance of seeking Jesus as we begin each day, asking for his guidance in all that we are to encounter throughout our day. We ask that you Jesus, keep the road in front of us straight and level so that we will know how and where to walk, guiding us in the pathways of your pleasure, as you continue to protect us from our enemies. Let us remember the importance of coming into your sanctuary to worship, and adore you, seeking your peace, as we know its ours for the asking.

Heavenly Father, help us to remember, in order for us to continue to grow in our relationship with you, we need to begin with, ‘mornings with Jesus’, and be ever so thankful.

In Christ Love
