ARE YOU A JOYFUL PERSON?

There are people who are just a joy to be around. Their presence can make a bad day bearable . How they do it I’m not sure only that they don’t seem to dwell on any one thing they may be having a problem with, they are able to stop themselves before they start overthinking things and making a catastrophe out of the situation. Joyful people see beauty in even the ordinary things that most of us would find unremarkable or even ugly. They are joyful because they have learned to accept and laugh at their misfortunes. Instead of seeing a glass “half empty,” as many of us do, joyful people see it as “half full.” Joy is the spiritual fruit, or love, that grows within us . The more we pursue it the stronger it grows, and we do that by growing in Christ and learning how much joy He can fill us with.

Psalm:
Be glad in the Lord, and rejoice, O righteous and shout for joy, all you upright in heart.

Prayer:
Father, help us to be a more joyful person so that we may be a blessing to others who will cherish the times they are around us. Help us to give more and receive less as it is more joyful to give then to receive. Help us to learn not to dwell on the things that prevent us from moving forward and find the joy in the good things we are surrounded by. In your precious name.
Amen
