Our adult Sunday School Class is in the process of discussing the twelve disciples as individuals, who they were and why they chose to follow Jesus. They were just ordinary men from different walks of life from fishermen to tax collectors, but despite who they were, along with their struggles and failings, God was able to use them to follow Jesus and remain faithful to Him in a mighty way. We are learning that discipleship is living boldly, devotedly and humbly pursuing God and trusting Him completely. No matter what stage of life your are in, seek to do it faithfully to the glory of God!
Matthew 4:19
And He said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.”
Prayer:
Oh good and gracious God, continue to fill us up with your wisdom so that we may become better disciples. We give thanks for your love, grace and mercy when we fail to listen and obey, may we learn from that and be more obedient. In your name we pray . Amen
