Growing Older But Wiser!

As we grow older, needless to say for those of us who are going through that process, our bodies are changing. Our skin once taut and smooth becomes droopy, veins pop up in the most unlikely places, our eyesight once keen and sharp begins to fail, and not to mention the aches and pains of friend “arthritis!” Over the years as the lines developed on my face I’ve learned to call them my ”battle scars.” When you think about all you have been through, sadness, happiness, worry, etc . , every line on your face represents something. For most all of us it has been trial and error, but with God’s blessings of maturity and
wisdom we learn how to use our abilities to the glory of Him. I believe our insight is keener as we age so we need to take our eyes off the mirror and focus on what’s more important. Shouldn’t we appreciate the years of maturity and wisdom we have been blessed with?

Isaiah 46:4
“I will still be the same wen you are old and gray, and I will take care of you.”

Prayer:
Thank your Lord for the blessings of wisdom as we mature, may we learn to focus more on our abilities to glorify you and not on our physical selves. May we be a positive example to others. In your name we pray.
Amen
