“I DON’T CARE!”

How many times haven’t we loosely used, or heard the term “I don’t care!” I think we develop that attitude when we have felt disrespected or underappreciated, or just don’t have a sensible or mature response. Sometimes we respond this way because we feel we don’t come up to the expectations of what some people think we should be. We use it as a defense mechanism. I believe beneath it all we really do care but just don’t want to be bothered by the issue at the time or share with others how we really feel. As Christians we know the better attitude is that as long as we are okay in God’s eyes, it doesn’t matter what others think and we really don’t need to respond to the negativity. Remember, He made us in “His” image to be who we are and everyday we do our best to strive to do better. What would have happened if Jesus had said “He didn’t care!” Fortunately we know better and He “is” the example of how we should “all care!”

Galatians 1:10
Am I now trying to win the approval human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.

Prayer:
Father, help us to remember we are your children, that everyday we strive to please you in every way, even though we fall short frequently, we want to be “right” in your eyes, always. In your precious name we pray. Amen
