Just A Few Of My Thoughts…

“Lord, you know everything there is to know about me. You perceive every movement of my heart and soul, and you understand my every thought before it evens enters my mind. You are so intimately aware of me, Lord. You read my heart like an open book and you know all the words I’m about to speak before I even start a sentence! You know every step I will take before my journey even begins. You’ve gone into my future to prepare the way, and in kindness you follow behind me to spare me from the harm of my past. With your hand of love upon my life, you impart a blessing to me. This is just too wonderful, deep, and incomprehensible! Your understanding of me brings me wonder and strength. Where could I go from your Spirit? Where could I run and hide from your face?” Psalm 139:1-7 TPT

How often do we find ourselves questioning our behavior, as to how we should act, or what we should say or do, depending on our surroundings, or whomever we think we might need to impress? As with anything attempting to cause disarray within our being, deception, even within ourselves, can easily begin to take hold and steal our peace.

In this passage, David so vividly tells us, that regardless of our past, our present circumstance, or anything we will ever encounter as we move forward, that our God has known, and continues to know every detail of our lives. Realizing nothing catches our God off guard, what keeps us from staying in close contact with Him? Imagine, knowing, that in and through him, our strength, our peace, and His hand of love can enfold us, simply by our asking.

Heavenly Father, help us to remember, that as your children, in your love for us, nothing gets past you, therefore, through it all, keep us filled with Your Spirit.
