Just A Few Of My Thoughts …

“Run as fast as you can from all the ambitions and lust of youth; and chase after all that is pure. Whatever builds up your faith and deepens your love must become your holy pursuit. And live in peace with all those who worship our Lord Jesus with pure hearts. Stay away from all the foolish arguments of the immature, for these disputes will only generate more conflict. For a true servant of our Lord Jesus will not be argumentative but gentle toward all and skilled in helping others see the truth, having great patience toward the immature. Then with meekness you’ll be able to carefully enlighten those who argue with you so they can see God’s gracious gift of repentance and be brought to the truth.” 2 Timothy 2:22-25 TPT

How many of us have found ourselves in the midst of situations, where life altering decisions were expected to be made, as to whether to stand our ground, or run? Knowing the desires of our Father, and having the courage to stand on His truths is a must. Of course, patience, along with perseverance will also need to be prayerfully sought after on a daily basis.

In this passage, the Apostle Paul, is directing Timothy in the life-changing ways in which he will need to seek, as he ministers to the people. Paul’s advice to Timothy, and also to us, includes being kind, gentle, understanding, and courteous, when explaining the truths of God’s Word. It is important to know when to run, by removing ourselves from the situations that can cause us to go against the teachings of His Word. As a servant of God, each of us should strive to live, so that our lives reflect the love of our Father, and the peace that He has for us, since according to your Word, they can be ours, for the asking.

Heavenly Father, help us to remember the importance of, not only knowing the truths of your Word, but the desires of your heart, along with the ability to share, and be ever so thankful.

In Christ Love
