Just A Few Of My Thoughts …

“A beautiful reputation is more to be desired than great riches, and to be esteemed by others is more honorable than to own immense investments. Laying your life down in tender surrender before the Lord will bring life, prosperity, and honor as your reward. Dedicate your children to God and point them in the way that they should go, and the values they’ve learned from you will be with them for life. The Lord loves those whose hearts are holy, and he is the friend of those whose ways are pure. Listen carefully and open your heart. Drink in the wise revelation that I impart. You’ll become winsome and wise when you treasure the beauty of my words. And always be prepared to share them at the appropriate time. For I’m releasing these words to you this day, yes even to you, so that your living hope will be found in God alone, for he is the only one who is always true.” Proverbs 22:1,4,6,11,17-19 TPT

As God’s children, our reputation, or the way others see us, is of more importance, or more honorable in His eyes than immense investments, or wealth from sources other than that of being filled with the riches found in His Word. Not only are we to educate ourselves, but we are also to teach our children in the ways of the Lord so that as they grow, their love for God and His ways will be instilled within them.

In this passage we are given instructions on how to live our lives wisely regardless of the circumstances we encounter. He tells us to open our hearts and soak in the wisdom of His Word so that we can be prepared to share them at the appropriate times. We are to listen with an open heart, drinking in the beauty of his words, seeking wisdom, since it can be ours for the asking!

Heavenly Father, help us to remember the importance of continuing to seek your wisdom in every circumstance, for which we are ever so thankful.
