Just A Few Of My Thoughts …

“Who could ever wrap their minds around the riches of God, the depth of his wisdom, and the marvel of his perfect knowledge? Who could ever explain the wonder of his decisions or search out the mysterious way he carries out his plans? For who has discovered how the Lord thinks or is wise enough to be the one to advise him in his plans? Or: Who has ever first given something to God that obligates God to owe him something in return? For out of him, the sustainer of everything, came everything, and now everything finds fulfillment in him. May all praise and honor be given to him forever! Amen!” Romans 11 :33-36 TPT

Our God is beyond explanation! We cannot begin to understand the depth of his wisdom or that of his perfect knowledge. He has a plan for each of us, although his methods and means are far beyond our comprehension. He is in control of the entire universe, yet in his plans for our individual lives, he uses perfect wisdom, justice, and unconditional love.

In this passage we find Paul delivering this doxology, a prayer of praise to God for the wisdom of his plans. We cannot understand the mind of our Lord. He alone has absolute power and control, and we are completely dependent on him. He is the power that sustains and rules the world and now everything finds fulfillment in and through him. We cannot understand the wonder of his decisions, or how he continues to care individually for each of us, but within the midst of all our circumstances, he is ours for the asking.

Heavenly Father, help us to remember that in your love for us within your perfect knowledge and divine wisdom, you created perfection, for which we are ever so thankful.
