Just A Few Of My Thoughts…

“Let the inner movement of your heart always be to love one another, and never play the role of an actor wearing a mask. Despise evil and embrace everything that is good and virtuous. Be devoted to tenderly loving your fellow believers as members of one family. Try to outdo yourselves in respect and honor of one another. Be enthusiastic to serve the Lord, keeping your passion toward him. boiling hot! Radiate with the glow of the Holy Spirit and let him fill you with excitement as you serve him. Let this hope burst forth within you, releasing a continual joy. Don’t give up in a time of trouble, but commune with God at all times. Take a constant interest in the needs of God’s beloved people and respond by helping them. And eagerly welcome people as guests into your home.” Romans 12:9-13 TPT

In today’s society, unfortunately, it’s not uncommon, especially in the workplace, to find people pretending to get along with each other, in an attempt to make everything run smoothly. Think of the difference in the atmosphere if feelings were genuine, even more so, if we could look at each other in the same manner as God.

In this passage, the Apostle Paul is describing God’s way of dealing with those with whom we encounter, not only those close to us, but community wide, expressing the need to care and love one another. We are to live by example, being enthusiastic to serve the Lord, and filled with the Holy Spirit to the point that others can see and fill his presence. In times of trouble, giving up should never be an option, instead, we are to seek the guidance of our Heavenly Father, knowing that it is ours, simply for the asking.

Heavenly Father, help us to remember, your desire is for us to love one another, to be genuine in all we do, as we consider the needs of those around us.

In Christ Love
