Just A Few Of My Thoughts …

“Every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realm has already been lavished upon us as a love gift from our wonderful heavenly Father, the Father of our Lord Jesus – all because he sees us wrapped into Christ. This is why we celebrate him with all our hearts! And he chose us to be his very own, joining us to himself even before he laid the foundation of the universe! Because of his great love, he ordained us, so that we would be seen as holy in his eyes with an unstained innocence. For it was always in his perfect plan to adopt us as his delightful children, through our union with Jesus, the Anointed One, so that his tremendous love that cascades over us would glorify his grace – for the same love he has for his Beloved One, Jesus, he has for us. And this unfolding plan brings
him great pleasure!” Ephesians 1:3-6 TPT

What could we possibly desire, that could compare to the blessings that our heavenly Father has already lavished upon us? Unfortunately, so many times we fail to recognize all he has provided and continues to provide. So often, our needs and desires are focused on wealth, power, or popularity, instead of the matters concerning our heart and our spirit. In this passage, the Apostle Paul is reminding us of how gracious our Heavenly Father has been, in that, in his love for us, not only did he sacrifice his only son, but adopted us as his very own children. Thanks to this relationship, we have forgiveness, the Holy Spirit, and the hope of living forever with Jesus. Imagine the peace within his love, as it cascades over us, just as a river finding its’ way through the stones, knowing it can be ours, all for the asking!

Heavenly Father, help us to remember, that, in your love for us, every spiritual blessing is ours, and can be lavished upon us, in the asking, and be ever so thankful.
