Just A Few Of My Thoughts

“Standing firm in the heavens and fastened to eternity is the word of God. Your faithfulness flows from one generation to the next; all that you created sits firmly in place to testify of you. By your decree everything stands at attention, for all that you have made serves you. Because your words are my deepest delight, I didn’t give up when all else was lost. I can never forget the profound revelations
you’ve taught me, for they have kept me alive more than once. Lord, I’m all yours, and you are my Savior; I have sought to live my life pleasing to you. I’ve learned that there is nothing perfect in this imperfect world except your words, for they bring such fantastic freedom into my life!”
Psalm 119:89-94,96 TPT

So many of our purchases are delivered in a box labeled, assembly required, filled with numerous pieces, all sizes and shapes, a page or two of instructions, and a little disposable tool. How many of us ignore the instructions and jump right into the assembly? Our lives can so often be compared to the box filled with pieces in need of adequate instructions, as to how to move forward. Again, how often do we strive to move forward without a clear direction, only to find ourselves in turmoil?

In this passage, the Psalmist is stressing the importance of standing firm within the faithfulness and delight of His Word to never give up. Filled with our instructions, and, or our directions for living, no matter the circumstance, should be enough to cause us to go directly to this, our source for daily living. Realizing, that today, as then, nothing is perfect in this imperfect world, except the perfection found within his words, should cause us to seek its profound revelations, knowing that they can be ours, all for the asking!

Heavenly Father, help us to remember the importance of seeking your Word as we attempt to keep our lives assembled, in order to live a life pleasing to you.

In Christ Love
