Just A Few Of My Thoughts …
“There is so much more I would like to say to you, but it’s more than you can grasp at this moment. But when the truth-giving Spirit comes, he will unveil the reality of every truth within you. He won’t speak on his own, but only what he hears from the Father, and he will reveal prophetically to you what is to come. He will glorify me on the earth, for he will receive from me what is mine and reveal it to you. Everything that belongs to the Father belongs to me-that’s why I say that the Divine Encourager will receive what is mine and reveal it to you. And everything I’ve taught you is so that the peace which is in me will be in you and will give you great confidence as you rest in me. For in this unbelieving world, you will experience trouble and sorrows, but you must be courageous, for I have conquered the world!” John 16:12-15, 33 TPT

Truth is actuality, reality, or fact. As his children, living in his truths, through the Holy Spirit, we have the ability to grow within the light and wisdom of our Father. Through this truth, the Holy Spirit will guide us into discerning right from wrong. Truth is also the belt tied around our spiritual armor used to hold everything in place, and it is the very foundation of our faith.

In this passage Jesus is speaking to his disciples, explaining the truth-giving Spirit of which they are to seek, who will reveal to them prophetically, what is to come. Through his Word, he continues to reveal this same truth-giving Spirit for us to seek, so that we can continue to grow. Since today, in this unbelieving world, as we are experiencing troubles and sorrows, we know that it’s through this same Spirit, our peace is found, and it’s ours, all for the asking.

Heavenly Father, help us to remember that your truth is the light that overcomes the darkness that attempts to rob us of our peace, and be ever so thankful.

In Christ Love
