Just A Few Of My Thoughts …

“Let joy be your continual feast. Make your life a prayer. And in the midst of everything be always giving thanks, for this is God’s perfect plan for you in Christ Jesus.” 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 TPT
“Since we are receiving our rights to an unshakeable kingdom, we should be . extremely thankful and offer God the purest worship that delights his heart as we lay down our lives in absolute surrender, filled with awe. For our God is a holy, devouring fire!” Hebrews 12:28-29 TPT

To be full of joy, and to remain in prayer, while in the midst of a difficult situation, all while praising and thanking God, can many times prove to be a chore. Instead of singing his praises, or giving thanks, our first thoughts can easily leave us with a feeling of disappointment, a lack of patience, and an unwillingness to persevere. Without Christ, our joy, our praises, and a reason to be thankful, oftentimes will rarely surface, leaving us with a feeling of emptiness.

Within these verses multiple reasons for us to be thankful are brought to our attention. It is a bit difficult to be thankful when unfortunate circumstances occur, but scripture tells us to thank God, not necessarily for everything, but in everything. We thank him for answering our prayers, providing our means for living, our healings, and for having each other, as brothers and sisters in Christ, only to mention a few. When feeling down, let’s stop and look around, and we will find ourselves in awe just to see a portion of all our blessings, also to remember he is always available, simply for the asking.

Heavenly Father, help us to remember, that in and through all things, you will never leave us, and be ever so thankful.

In Christ Love
