“Anxious fear brings depression, but a life-giving word of encouragement can do wonders to restore joy to the heart. Lovers of God give good advice to their friends, but the counsel of the wicked will lead them astray. A passive person won’t even complete a project. but a passionate person makes good use of his time, wealth, and energy. Abundant life is discovered by walking in righteousness, but holding on to the anger leads to death. When hope’s dream seems to drag on and on, the delay can be depressing. But when at last your dream comes true, life’s sweetness will satisfy your soul.” Proverbs 12:25-28, 13:12 TPT
Anxiety just seems to run rapid within today’s society, ultimately invading our lives on a daily basis. Life altering events can easily catch us off guard. Without warning, we can find ourselves in the midst of a situation, which if left unguarded can lead to anxiousness, where ultimately depression can take over. Words carry a powerful punch, in that they can either build us up, or tear us down. As God’s children, our words should be filled with encouragement for added strength.
This passage describes the power found in the words we speak. So many times, depending on the circumstance, our hearts can be found hurting, desperately in need of a life-giving word of encouragement. Seeking answers to life-long hopes and dreams can many times require patience, since we are reminded that our time and God’s timing, tend to differ. We, so often fail to realize that God continues to be on the throne and continues to have the answers we seek, and we are reminded, they can be ours, simply for the asking!
Heavenly Father, help us to understand the importance of seeking your Word, for the appropriate word, or words necessary for sharing, and be ever so thankful.
In Christ Love
