Participating in Vacation Bible School can be quite an experience, especially when you are dealing with children of all ages not to mention the adult volunteers. However, it all seems to come together, and everyone has a great time, although the adults somewhat drained by day five, but knowing the children have, and hopefully received the spiritual guidance that God has led us, the adults, to do through our VBS week. Our children are like little “sponges” soaking up everything they hear and experiences shared, and if our church can be part of that journey by showing them positive examples in a Christian environment, we have succeeded. As adults we sometimes forget the energy a child has, and at the same time wish we still had some of that energy to keep up with them, but watching them laugh, making new friends and hearing their young voices lifted up praising God makes your heart swell ! As Christians, it is crucial to share our faiith with the next generation, not only during VBS week, but every week and everyday when there is an opportunity to do so to help them in Godly guidance to make good decisions in life. God, our source of all energy, including the life force within our children!
Proverbs: 22:6
Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, we pray for our children as they develop spiritually, mentally, emotionally and physically that they come to know Christ and grow in their faith and develop Godly friendships along their journey and lean on you when having, to make good decisions in life. We want them to succeed, be happy and find peace. In your precious name we pray. Amen
