Trusting in God’s plans for us is what we all strive to do, but not always easy in real life. When our paths seem uncertain and we aren’t receiving the answers that we need to help find some clarity on whatever it is we are dealing with, we can’t help but question what it is we are suppose to do, especially when it is out of our control. We know that God often calls us to walk by faith, not by sight. When we think of Mary, mother of Jesus, and how she responded to the angel, skeptical at first but then realized how clear her future was. That was surrender, that was trust! This kind of trust isn’t always about understanding, it’s about resting in the One that knows the outcome. If we try to figure it out on our own, or be in control, which is a bit arrogant to believe we would have the answers that are beyond our control, we will only drag ourselves down Into the darkness, and we know “the evil one” who would be delighted in that. No matter what it is we may be going through now, and I know for many there is a great deal, we need to learn to lean on God’s faithfullness so we can find peace even when the way is uncertain. He is only asking for us to follow Him. ‘ Hls plan is always trustworthy, even when it’s not fully revealed.
Proverbs 3:5
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding;
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, help us to lessen our control over things we cannot change, but help us learn to choose to walk by faith and not by sight, and let You lead us even when the path is not clear. In Your precious name we pray. Amen.
