From Steve Rose PhD.,Addiction Specialist: “People change when motivated by a sense of independence, a sense of competence and a sense of connection to others. These motivations can be sparked in moments of extreme frustration when a person realize their
current approach is no longer working.” People change when things become too painful and they feel deeply frustrated. External forces can feed into this and cause a person a short term or long term change. A long term change depends more on a person developing their own internal reason for change. We always pray the long term change will be a positive one and.a positive social connection supports that. Unfortunately it may not be the change we hope for which may cause heartache, frustration and anger for those who love them. Just remember that real contentment comes from within. We cannot change or control the world around us, but we can change and control the world within us!
Romans 12:2
Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is-His good, pleasing and perfect will.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, clear the shadows of doubt that cloud the minds of those who need change. Strengthen their faith and self-belief, reminding them of the potential within them. Guide them towards unwavering confidence and bring peace and a sense of normalcy to them. In your precious name we pray.
Amen
